Lenoir-Rhyne is Taking Charge

In every walk of life, leaders ask, “What does the future hold?  How can we go forward to a vibrant and meaningful future?”  Lenoir-Rhyne University has asked these questions, and is answering them in a way that will not only impact our University forever, but also the greater Hickory and the Unifour Area as well. We are able to do all of this because:

We operate through strength that surges out of our campus into the community around us, and we stand tall with the strengths that Hickory offers in return. We can achieve unparalleled things. We can Take Charge of Tomorrow.

And what are some of the unparalled things that we will accomplish? Before the first student steps in the classroom, the Science Building will:

New Science Complex

Raise the bar

Double the current space through 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms which will be used by  a number of programs: biology, chemistry, zoology, anatomy and physiology, botany, ecology and conservation, physics, and genetics.

Students in lab

Transform the student experience

  • Promote increased student/faculty collaboration and team learning
  • Provide students with the same systems and resources they will be using in industry

New Science Complex - Aerial View

Advance science

  • Drive and inspire the pursuit of knowledge
  • Improve the lives of the community, no matter how far that community stretches

If these are the things that we are able to accomplish for our students with a building, imagine what they will go on to accomplish for the world because we gave them the best tools we could find and told them we believed in them.
